J WRIGHT DESIGN HELPING TO RESHAPE AMERICAN PALATES

The Culinary Institute of America’s Worlds of Flavor® International Conference & Festival is widely acknowledged as our country’s most influential professional forum on world cuisines, food cultures, and flavor trends. J Wright Design has helped the CIA develop the conference,  creating a new logo, branding, graphic treatments, brochures, website and online media, and–coming soon–product development.

The main challenge in developing graphics for this festival is to keep the overall branding consistent from year to year while keeping it fresh based on the annual theme. Conferences, ranging from new technologies in food, to asian cuisine, to food of the Americas (to name a few) present particular thematic issues from one year to the next.

The Who’s Who of Food Conferences

The industry influencer

The Culinary Institute of America’s Worlds of Flavor® International Conference & Festival is widely acknowledged as our country’s most influential professional forum on world cuisines, food cultures, and flavor trends. For several years running, J Wright Design has helped to keep the festival’s graphics as fresh and exciting as the event itself.

The Food Challenge

More than just a pretty plate

The Worlds of Flavor® is more that just great food, so the challenge from year to year is to establish the event as the go-to festival to learn and gain inspiration. The design had to be as exciting as the food and lecture series. It also had to be flexible enough to maintain it’s branding despite vastly different annual conference themes. The brochures, advertisements, and posters from year to year rely on the colorful elements, sense of originality, and flavor found in the conference itself.
